Chrome Timing Cover for Small Block Chevrolet.
Includes a new crankshaft seal.
Does not include timing tab.
This cover had been installed as evidenced by small remnants of gasket seal on the flange.
However, looking at the overall condition of the piece you can tell it hasn’t been abused and does not appear to have been used for any length of time.
In fact, I believe this was possibly mounted to an engine, that was not run and then removed in favor of a different style cover.
Why? Because you will see a paper tag on the inside still remains and I doubt that tag would have lasted any amount of time once the engine was fired and the inside covered with oil.
I say this cover is 'new'.
