Medical Receptionist & Optometric Technician

We are excited to offer the opportunity for a Medical Receptionist and Optometric Technician to join our boutique, well-established practice in San Leandro.
The ideal candidate will strive to provide the best patient experience by exemplifying excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow our practice.
We are located walking distance from the San Leandro BART station.
Requirements: * 1) 1 year or experience in an Optometry or Ophthalmology offices * 2) Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * 3) Excellent computer skills and a solid foundation of MS Office (word, excel), and Google (gmail, drive) * 4) Effective verbal and written communication with staff and patients.
* 5) Ability to build rapport with staff and patients * 6) Ability to work on Saturdays * Responsibilities (including but not limited to): * 1) Provide exceptional experience for the patient on the phone and in person by creating a seamless and efficient scheduling, check-in and check-out process.
* 2) Correspond with patients on the phone, text, email, fax in a timely manner * 3) Schedule patients, authorize insurance benefits, prep charts * 4) Maintain patient records * 5) Operate different instruments and learn new technology * 6) Verify glasses, contact lenses and provide contact lens trainings * 7) Cleaning and following sanitation protocols Hourly compensation will be commensurate with experience We encourage you to apply online with a resume.
