Responsibilities:
Compound – execute batch records and procedures as well as recording measurements of chemicals as needed for regulatory reporting purposes
Operating machinery including mixers, homogenizers, pumps, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
Help in developing chemical compounds to see what works as an alternative
Preparing samples
Cleaning and sanitizing all equipment used to prevent contamination from previous batches (kettles, blenders, etc)
Making sure the raw material area is clean on a regular basis
Maintaining inventory on a FIFO (first in first out) basis on chemicals
Weighing raw materials used in batches into kits for compounding.
Maintain records and Standard Operating Procedures
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a compounder in a GMP Manufacturing Facility either in the Personal Care, Nutritional, Fool or Pharmaceutical Industries
Licensed Forklift Operator
Familiar with manufacturing equipment such as Boilers, Purified Water Systems, Air Compressors, Chillers, Sanitary & Diaphragm Pumps and Homogenizers
Pre-weigh experience
Equipment Sanitation procedure
Able to read & understand batching procedures.
Maintain the compounding area in a safe & clean manner.
Understand written SOPs.
Familiar with FIFO practices
Experience leading a team environment.
Prioritizing Safety first when beginning any production/compounding work.
