Server/Bartender

Position Summary: The Server at Homegrown Hops Brewery is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while serving our customers in the taproom and outdoor areas.
They are knowledgeable about our beer selection, menu offerings, and brewery events, and can make recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
The Server is attentive, efficient, and follows all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities: 1.
Greet customers promptly and warmly, offering menus and informing them of any specials or promotions.
2.
Accurately take orders, answer questions, and provide recommendations on beer selections and menu items.
3.
Enter orders into the point of sale system promptly, ensuring accuracy.
4.
Serve beverages and food items (if applicable) in a timely and professional manner, adhering to brewery standards.
5.
Check on customers regularly to ensure their satisfaction, offering refills, additional menu items, or assistance as needed.
6.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift, including clearing empty glasses and plates, wiping down tables and chairs, restocking supplies and keeping bathrooms clean and stocked.
7.
Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card, or mobile payments.
8.
Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper hand hygiene, food handling, and cleaning procedures.
9.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about brewery updates and improve service skills.
10.
Communicate effectively with the Taproom Manager, other servers, and support staff to ensure smooth operations.
11.
Assist with setup and teardown of events or promotions, as needed.
Qualifications: 1.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2.
Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, or taproom setting preferred.
3.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
4.
Strong verbal communication and active listening abilities.
5.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
6.
Knowledge of craft beer styles and brewing processes is a plus.
7.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol and possess any required alcohol server certifications.
8.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Physical Demands: 1.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
2.
Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
3.
Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance if necessary.
4.
Manual dexterity for handling glassware, utensils, and other items.
