*Primary Job Responsibilities:* * Charting & note entry in Open Dental (practice management software) * Intake of patient medical & dental histories * Chairside dental assisting * Dental tray & operatory setups * Supply inventory * Dental x-rays with digital sensors * Instrument sterilization & cleaning/sanitation of operatories * Cross-training with the front office & occasionally help with front office duties *Salary: *$27-35/hour (varies by level of experience in assisting, qualifications/certifications, and knowledge/experience in pediatrics) *Hours:* up to 24-hours/week (2-3 days), with the opportunity for additional days as the practice grows *Benefits:* * Paid-time off * Paid sick time * On-the-job training * Opportunities for career advancement * Eligibility for additional benefits over time *License/Certification:* * Registered Dental Assistant (Strongly Preferred) * X-Ray Certification (Required) *Education:* * High School (Required) * Dental Assisting program (Preferred) *Experience:* * Dental Assisting in a pediatric setting: 1 year (Strongly Preferred) * We would be happy to train the right candidate! *Qualities of an Ideal Candidate:* * Team-oriented mentality * Confidence in the basics of dental assisting * Computer literacy * Effective communication skills and a positive attitude * Enjoys taking initiative & problem solving * Possesses a strong work ethic * Excels in a fast-paced environment * Open to learning new skills & improving upon old ones * Adaptable to our office culture * Prior experience working with children Job Type: Part-time Pay: $27.
