This individual is responsible for developing the site /mobile APP tagging and web analytics work for the marketing campaigns.
This position requires a deep understanding of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics/GA4 and Hands on experience with Java Script.
What you’ll do Define and develop comprehensive website tagging & tracking data capture strategies using URL query params, as per the marketing team objectives and measurement goals.
Administer the Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 Setup and manage GTM containers logically with descriptive names and folders for tags, triggers, and variables.
Design and implement tracking setups in Google Tag Manager to capture relevant data points and events on websites and digital platforms.
Configure GTM tags, triggers, and variables to ensure accurate data collection in alignment with business objectives and KPIs.
Setup and manage Profiles, audience, Events, Conversions, custom attributes / parameters in google analytics /GA4.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot tracking issues and ensure seamless data flow between GTM and GA4.
Work with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage a list of analytics requirements.
Convert business requirements into a tagging plan that outlines the events, conversions, and interactions to track.
Use web analytics platforms and reporting tools to build reports / dashboards.
Test all tags, triggers, and variables thoroughly before deploying them to your live website.
Keep up with GTM updates, new features, and best practices through official Google documentation, blogs, and community forums.
Set up error tracking to monitor and alert you about issues with tag firing or data collection.
Implement proper access controls and permissions within GTM to restrict access based on roles and responsibilities.
Regularly review and audit your GTM container to remove unused or obsolete tags and maintain data security.
What you’ll bring 8+ year experience working site analytics and tagging tools like Google Analytics/GA4 & Google Tag Manager and similar other tools in the industry.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
Hands-on experience in implementing clicks tags, conversion tags / pixels & campaign tracking URLs, URL query parameter, UTM parameter tracking methods, and troubleshooting site analytics reporting issues.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
Knowledge of CRM, Web Analytics, Tag Management (server-side vs client side), Google SearchAds360 type Marketing Automation tools; & any data visualization tools.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot tracking issues and ensure seamless data flow between GTM and GA4.
Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
