The Role · Drive localization engineering workflows and dependencies - independently and reliably · Establish/implement end-to-end localization engineering processes · Utilize TMS systems ( RWS, XTMinternational, Localise, etc) to manage project workflows and dependencies, and integrate with other internal systems (Figma, Drupal, SDL Tridion, GitLab, etc.
) · Automate and integrate localization systems and processes · Use JIRA to manage tasks/issues affecting localized content, quality, and functionality · Utilize runtime simulators, hardware setups, full vehicle screen workbenches, and test vehicles to ensure localization quality at the product level · Investigate issues reported by L10n/Core SQA, fix in development environments, run/load builds, validate, issue pull-requests, merge and verify resolutions in production · Resolve (linguists) product context queries as the SME of your product areas · Process and integrate feedback from regional teams around the world · Contribute your expertise to the design and development of an internal (fully automated) LQA-workflow/asset-management web application that will benefit the whole organization · Collaborate cross-functionally with numerous teams and vendors to set, manage, and meet stakeholder expectations · Strive for continuous improvement - strengthen and scale localization engineering processes, metrics, and other operational needs Minimum Qualifications BA/BS degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience At least 5 years of Localization engineering experience Technical domain knowledge (globalization, internationalization, localization) Experience with the full localization life cycle, best practices, and industry translation management system Proven experience in software tools development, automation, and systems integration Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects Experience with enterprise Translation Memory Management Systems Experience with enterprise Content Management Systems (Preferably Tridion docs) Experience with industry standard tools, with the ability to learn and adapt (such as ANT, Antenna House, Azure DevOps Pipelines, DITA, DITA OT, Git, Oxygen XML, Schematron, XML, and XSLT) Develop and maintain XSLT DITA to PDF and html transforms that meet established style guide and publication requirements.
Validate code and debug code, report bugs and issues Gather requirements related to authoring and system inputs, such as XML data files Preferred Skills Experience shipping software on consumer devices (and related collaterals) Experience working with Automotive EV technology stacks (Figma, QNX, QtQML, Android, C/C++, Linux) Software development experience in at least one of the following: Java, Kotlin, Python, Perl, web apps (JavaScript/Node, CSS, HTML etc.
), mobile apps (Android, Flutter), and related APIs.
Experience with standard source control (Git/GitLab) and build systems (Jenkins) Experience with Unix/Linux and shell-scripting Experience localizing a wide range of content formats (software, services, web-content, documentation, CMS, Knowledge Base, advertising/PR, social media, audio, video, etc.
) Experience working with global teams, markets, and diverse cultures Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to stay focused under pressure Strong organizational and coordination skills - to succeed in a fast-paced environment Experience collaborating across the organization - integrating with numerous teams Willingness to learn new technologies and processes, adaptation to ongoing project needs Education BA/BS degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
· California (Bay Area) - $127,000-$181,500 Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
