Wonders Pediatric Therapy provides in-home therapy services to children in the East Bay.

Our mission is to help children build their motor skills, find and use appropriate tools, and increase independence in all of their meaningful activities in life.
*Role Description: *
The Occupational Therapist provides assessment, consultation, and/or treatment related to sensory and motor development and other identified developmental needs of children from 6 months to 13 years of age.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Conduct assessments of clients to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services.
* Select appropriate evaluation tools, interpret results, and write reports.
* Keep a comprehensive documentation system, including progress notes for parental review.
* Engage in collaborative efforts with parents and interdisciplinary team members.
* Plan and develop appropriate intervention goals and objectives.
* Ensure regular weekly visits with assigned clients.
* Attend ISFP, IEP, and transition meetings upon request as well as staff meetings.
* Provide home programs and consultation to parents.
* Maintain organized working files on assigned clients.
* Participate in the selection, design and/or construction of necessary adaptive equipment.
* Collaborate with medical personnel and other health care providers in the coordination of medical care protocols and act as a resource to school personnel in interpreting occupational therapy services.
*Qualifications: *
* Knowledge of: fundamental principles and practices of occupational therapy; goals of therapy interventions; adherence to health and safety guidelines; proficient documentation skills.
* Abilities to: recognizing and assessing developmental challenges; creating and implementing treatment strategies and goals in occupational therapy; maintaining organized therapy records and logs; managing workload efficiently and meeting deadlines; ensuring confidentiality with sensitive information; proficient oral and written communication abilities.
*Educational and Certification Requirements: *
Completion of advanced educational training in occupational therapy to obtain a Certificate of Registration with the National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy; licensure with the California Board of Occupational Therapy; at least one year of occupational therapy experience with children in a pediatric or school-based setting.
