About the Role
This is a contract position.
The Customer Care Agent is part of Ariat’s Customer Care Team and is responsible for all facets of the 800# and call center support functions.
This position provides service to Ariat dealers and consumers via inbound 800#, fax, and email.
The Customer Care Agent processes orders, prepares correspondence, and fulfills customers’ requests.
This role is responsible for researching and resolving issues to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
This is a hybrid position requiring both in-office and remote work.
Periodic travel may be required.

Supporting 800#/ B2B/ Ariat.
com requests via incoming calls/faxes/emails regarding orders, order changes, return authorizations, and warranty coverage
Providing courteous and professional service to internal and external customers
Ensuring orders are entered accurately, audited, and confirmed in a timely manner
Having the ability to promote the company’s products and services to match specific customers’ needs
Resolving a diverse range of issues including general questions and problems involving pricing, product usage and care, product availability, inventory, transportation, and product delivery
Providing general assistance to callers by directing them to the appropriate person or department
Ordering corporate office supplies
Providing general assistance to multiple departments for special projects as needed
Maintaining corporate contact lists (i.
e.
office extensions, sales reps, international office locations)
Completing all other tasks and duties as assigned (i.
e.
order entry, front desk coverage, assisting with all avenues of consumer/retailer communication)
About You
A high school diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or a service industry, preferably in a fast-paced call center environment
Experience processing orders, data entry, or heavy phone work.
Ability to handle 50-75 calls per day
Exceptional written, oral, and face to face communication skills
Enthusiastic, friendly, and outgoing personality with the ability to develop a quick rapport with internal and external customers
Detail orientated with outstanding follow-through
Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks and work independently of supervision
Fast acting and capable of adapting quickly to change
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the call center or customer service environment
Intermediate level computer skills with MS Office Word and Excel
Minimum typing 50wpm
Desire and ability to contribute to and enhance Ariat’s unique culture, philosophy, and core values
Knowledge of SAP or similar order entry a plus
Willing and able to work additional hours when needed

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

Frequently bend, lift, stand, walk, sit and reach with the hands and arms
Use close vision, distance vision, and color vision
Lift and/or move product and office items up to 25 lbs

The hourly range for this position is $20 - $22 per hour.
The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.

This range may be modified in the future.
This contract position may be eligible for select benefits through the payrolling agency.
