Our church is seeking a passionate and resourceful Assistant to join our team and support our vibrant community.
In this role, you will play a key part in fostering welcoming connections with church members and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities:
Client Relations:
Serve as the friendly face of the church, greeting and assisting visitors and members.
Answer phones and emails promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and directing concerns.
Schedule appointments and manage calendars for clergy and staff.
Organize and participate in special events and church functions.
Building Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections of the church facilities, noting any maintenance needs.
Report maintenance issues to relevant personnel and follow up on repairs.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the building.
Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
Additional Duties:
Provide administrative support to staff, including photocopying, filing, and data entry.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Support various church projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Detail-oriented and proactive, with a keen eye for potential issues.
Basic computer skills proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
Familiarity with church operations and a passion for serving the community (preferred).
Able to complete a background check and live scan
Bilingual (Not Required but preferred)
