The Equipment Technician role is primarily responsible for helping to maintain inventory and assisting with preparing orders for delivery.
This role works directly with our customer service, and driving teams, to ensure customer orders can be fulfilled on-time.
The Equipment tech must be able to work with a team member to test and assemble aluminum and metal shores in various configurations quickly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Reads the contracts provided to drivers to ensure that deliveries and collection-orders are being fully completed.
· Responsible for Assist with the delivery and unloading of our equipment at customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner.
· Follow TSC policies and procedures to ensure the job is done properly and safely.
· Assist with the coordination of delivery schedules using the most time efficient routes.
· May be assigned to jobs that require working after regular hours.
· Effectively communicate and coordinate with customers, dispatchers and supervisors.
· Provide a high level of customer service while on all job sites.
· Occasional local travel during the workday.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
o Must possess a valid and clean commercial Class C Driver's License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
o Crane certification preferred, however if candidate is not certified at the time of employment, company will train for crane certified operations.
· Capable of reading, understanding and following company procedures.
· Other skills required:
o Forklift operation and welding experience is desirable.
o Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and written.
o Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
o Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
o Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:

· Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
· Continually required to talk or hear
· Continually work near moving mechanical parts

· Continually exposed to outside weather conditions
· While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
· Be physically able to routinely lift 70 pounds but are expected to not lift anything over 50 pounds on a recurring basis.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
· The employee must frequently wear Trench Shoring Company mandated safety equipment (including but not limited to high-visibility vest, hard helmet, approved safety glasses and safety-toe boots).
· The position is a safety sensitive position
