_California Private Teachers_ is seeking a full-time private teacher for a family living in Moraga, CA.
The family has two daughters who will be entering 4th & 8th grade in August.
The daughters are enrolled in a private school in Florida, THE KING'S ACADEMY, that provides a hybrid curriculum.
The private teacher will need to develop and modify this curriculum while supplementing and providing enrichment opportunities for a more dynamic learning experience.
The private teacher will primarily support and teach all subjects in 4th grade and offer subject specific (history and/or science) in 8th grade.
Experiential and whole-child education are important considerations for this position.
The family is easy-going and enjoys an active lifestyle and traveling.
Knowledge of asynchronous and synchronous learning will be important during times of travel.
The parents are excited about a more personalized and engaging learning experience for their daughters that is focused on individual growth and real-world learning (especially project-based and experiential-based learning).
The private teacher will be responsible for developing curriculum, lesson planning, providing enrichment opportunities, and interventions when applicable.
While working in collaboration with the parents, THE KING'S ACADEMY, and _California Private Teachers_, the private teacher must be able to foster an individualized, enlivening, and holistic educational experience.
*\*Requirements/Qualifications:*
* Develop and implement personalized curriculum aligned with THE KING'S ACADEMY and the student's individual learning needs.
* Create engaging and interactive lessons across various subjects, encouraging a love and curiosity for learning.
* Utilize diverse teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
* Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.
* Maintain open communication with parents to provide updates on the student's academic and social-emotional development.
*\*Credential Requirements:*
A valid teaching credential is required.
Please indicate the expected issuance date of your credential if it has not yet been posted with the credentialing commission.
Applicants who hold an out-of-state teaching credential/certificate will be considered for this position.
* Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Education (Master's preferred)
* Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
* Applicants must currently reside or be willing to relocate/commute to the San Leandro area to provide in-person instruction
