Responsibilities:
* Work closely with students, providing individual or group assistance with learning activities under the guidance of the lead Educational Therapist.
* Organize and maintain student files, including progress reports, assessments, and therapy plans.
* Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions, ensuring they align with the therapist's instructions.
* Collaborate with the therapist to implement strategies and interventions effectively.
* Assist in monitoring and tracking student progress during therapy sessions, noting observations and sharing feedback with the therapist.
* Adhere to educational protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards established by the center.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with learning differences.
* Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans for students of various ages and backgrounds.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
* Utilize a variety of teaching methods like Multi-Sensory Literacy and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
* Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages respect, diversity, and inclusivity
Skills:
- Strong experience working with children or adults in an educational setting
- Knowledge of curriculum development principles and practices
- Familiarity with early childhood education or special education methodologies is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate and educate students on various subjects
- Strong organizational skills to plan lessons, manage resources, and track student progress
