Moreau Catholic High School, a coeducational high school in the Holy Cross tradition, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced *Educational Technology Coordinator*.
Founded in 1965 under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Moreau Catholic High School emphasizes college-preparatory excellence in all programs designed to facilitate the informative, formative, and transformative needs of the individual student.
Located approximately 25 miles southeast of San Francisco, in Hayward, California, the school is accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
With 792 students, the co-educational student body reflects the rich ethnic and cultural diversity of the Bay Area, and the school has enjoyed a 99% collegiate matriculation.
Our graduating seniors have been accepted into 1,000+ universities and colleges yearly, and have garnered, on average, between $11-14 million in scholarships and grants.
*Position Description* Responsible for providing visionary leadership in the integration of media and technology within the instructional program by designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating programs to promote the use of media and technology for learning in all subject areas for faculty, students, and staff.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)* * Plan and manage the implementation of instructional and administrative educational technology projects, as well as managing and conducting the initial and on-going administrative and instructional training associated with these projects.
* Coordinates system-level planning for computer implementation, including meeting with administrators on developing long-range instructional media and technology plans.
*Classroom Ed Tech* * Assist faculty members in creating meaningful classroom use of educational technology throughout the curriculum; compile and disseminate new ideas for educational technology use based on research, pilot programs, and state/ national standards.
* Review and respond to department educational technology support needs; provide technical support for faculty and school community as appropriate.
* Ensures comprehensive supervision and operational familiarity with the school’s data infrastructure, encompassing the student information system (SIS), learning management platform (LMS), and other vital systems integral to daily school functions.
* Supervises the technology budget, including e-resources and e-books, prioritizing cost-efficient strategies and ensuring sustainable, long-lasting solutions.
Manages the procurement procedures and nurtures vendor relationships.
* Directs program assessments for the purpose of ensuring that technology standards for faculty and students meet program goals and guidelines.
* May teach 1-2 classes as determined by Assistant Principal of Instruction.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned.
* *Education and/or Work Experience Requirements* The successful candidate will: * Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Three years’ training experience, or experience leading or managing information technology in a public/private school setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in the training and support of educational technology in 21st century schools.
* Extensive knowledge of appropriate technology equipment and equipment operation such as computers, digital cameras, video conferencing devices, audio/visual equipment at an instructional level.
* Strong working knowledge and experience with the following systems/tools: PowerSchool (data import/export, schedule building, etc.
) Canvas (or similar LMS), SchoolAdmin, FinalSite, Raiser’s Edge, Google Suite.
* California Clear teaching credential is preferred.
* Ability to listen and communicate effectively in order to gather, convey or exchange information, including giving instructions, assignments, or directions.
* Ability to interpret, infer, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate materials, resources, situations and problems to generate options and solutions.
* Ability to design and implement instructional programs which meet the needs of a diverse student population.
* Ability to promote positive faculty, staff and student collaboration while fostering high expectations, excellence, creativity and outstanding achievement This is an 11-month position.
Annual compensation: $80,151 – 98,573 + stipend for advanced degree.
