is looking for a *Part-time** Math Teacher at San Jose Campus (Zipcode 95129) , *who is dedicated and enthusiastic to join our team! As a math teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in an in-person setting.
This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for teaching and love of kids.
*What You Will Do:*
* Teach engaging lessons in English for elementary level mathematics to our students using Think Academy curriculum
* Grade: PreK-G2, G3-G5
* Language: English
* Format: In-person
* Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that fosters a love of mathematics among a class of about 8-16 students
* Identify and address individual learning needs by providing personalized assistance to students
* Homework grading as well as other related key teaching services
* Maintain open and proactive communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, achievements, and areas of concern
* Conduct parent-teacher conferences/meetings as needed to discuss student performance
* Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all students
*How You Can Be Qualified:*
* Bachelor's degree or above, all majors are welcome as long as you're passionate in kids and math teaching; Education, or STEM-related majors are preferred
* Strong knowledge and understanding of math concepts and problem-solving techniques
* *Prior math teaching or general teaching experience is not required, but it is highly preferred*
* Super passionate about teaching and education industry, with a mission to provide better education to promote social development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
* Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes
* Can commit to at least one whole semester teaching without interrupt (Spring semester: Jan - May; Summer: June - Aug; Fall semester: Aug - Dec)
* Highly responsible and love to get along with kids
* Familiarity with Math Competitions is a plus
* *Available and willing to work during weekday later afternoon and weekends*
* *You must be authorized to work in the United States*
* *You must be able to commute to teach in-person at one of our San Jose Cupertino Campus*
