Are you looking for a fun and challenging part-time opportunity to supplement your studies? KEONI is seeking an enthusiastic and well-rounded general tutor, a "jack/jill of all trades" type with the ability to instruct students in a variety of subjects.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strength and flexibility in multiple areas of study including humanities-based subjects.
Responsibilities:
Tutor students in math (grade level 7-11), reading, writing, and science
Help students complete homework, create outlines/study guides, and practice for exams
Create brief student progress reports
Act as educational coach and mentor, being sensitive to various factors that may affect a student's academic performance
Qualifications:
At minimum a undergraduate student with a 3.
5 GPA or higher
MUST be able to demonstrate marked proficiency in tutoring 7-10 grade subjects
Ability to tutor up advanced level material (Algebra I-II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Honors/AP English and Science classes)
Experience with Common Core State Standards is a plus
Previous experience in providing education and support to families and/or working with children is a plus
Requirements:
Must be willing to work a minimum of two days in the week (Tutoring Hours: Monday - Thursday; 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
