Under the supervision of the Program Director, coordinate programs that provide academic support, enrichment and recreational activities for elementary and middle school students during the after school hour; overseer a staff of 5 Instructional Aides and several service.
Provide ongoing training for staff members on all levels; work with Instructional aides to ensure quality program is administered.
Work with local elementary or middle school to ensure that program alignment is achieved.
*EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:*
Provide supervision for Aspire After School staff.
* Coordinate programs that support, encourage and motivate scholars to be their best.
* Collaborate with parents and school educators to ensure that students are academically
achieving at grade level.
* Train Instructional Aides in classroom management and conduct quarterly evaluations
to support continued development and growth amongst staff.
* Work with Program Director in ordering and maintenance of classroom supplies,
recreational equipment and all other office equipment for Aspire After School Program.
* Perform as “on-site Principal” during the after school hours to handle behavioral
challenges with scholars.
* Attend all mandatory/paid District meetings for Site Coordinators as needed.
* Perform all related duties as assigned.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*
Knowledge of:
Supervising a staff in the after school setting of 5+ staff members.
Program development/plans for after or before school programs.
Execute training modules for after school programs.
Maintain attendance system.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic first aid, as required by assignment.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Daily attendance mandatory.

Proficiently operate standard office equipment.
Interact and communicate with parents from diverse backgrounds.
Communicate effectively with scholars, public and staff.
Align after school program with day school campus.
Oversee maintaining of records and the preparation of accurate reports.
Maintain cooperative working relationships with scholars, staff and public.
Research innovative and creative approach to expanding after school setting.
Report to the Program Director on a monthly basis program updates as it relates to
attendance, student’s achievement and growth; staff development.
*Training & Experience:*
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Development, Education or comparable degree; a combination of a minimum of 3 years experience working within the after school setting and/or a minimum of 48 units of college credit; 2 years supervision experience with supervising 5 or more staff members; 3 years experience working with youth groups (elementary and middle school students).
