*Yoga Instructor - 1st/3rd Grade Students [After School Program]*
*Role Overview*
The Yoga instructor will lead classes for young students, teaching them the fundamentals of yoga, including postures, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices.
The role involves creating a nurturing and supportive environment where students can explore yoga and its benefits.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Instruction: Conduct yoga sessions that are engaging and appropriate for 1st to 3rd grade students, focusing on basic poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.
* Curriculum Development: Develop a yoga curriculum that is tailored to the developmental needs of young children, promoting physical health and emotional well-being.
* Student Engagement: Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to participate actively and enjoy their yoga practice.
* Progress Monitoring: Assess and monitor the students' progress in yoga practice, providing feedback and adjustments to meet their individual needs.
* Safety and Well-being: Ensure all yoga activities are safe and conducive to the students' overall well-being.

*Qualifications*
* Professional Experience: Proven experience in teaching yoga, especially to young children or in a school setting.
* Certification: Yoga instructor certification, with a strong understanding of yoga principles and child-friendly teaching methods.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage young students and foster a love for yoga.
* Empathy and Patience: A patient and empathetic approach, capable of nurturing young students’ physical and emotional development.
* Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to the needs and abilities of young children.
