Learning: Empowered! is a locally owned tutoring company specializing in one-on-one, in-home and virtual tutoring in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Learning: Empowered! is currently accepting applications for a part-time math tutor.
We provide academic tutoring for middle school and high school students in the East Bay, primarily in Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda.
Tutoring takes place Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 4:00 - 7:30 pm.
Position would start ASAP.

Required Qualifications:
* Ability to work with students in home from 4:00 - 7:30 pm Monday, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays
* Bachelor's degree from a top university (upper division students - okay)
* Expertise in the subject(s) you tutor
* Two years of experience working with youth
* Access to a car and a willingness to drive to and from students' homes
* Ability to commit for the remainder of 2023-2024 academic year
Preferred Qualifications:
* Two plus years of tutoring and/or teaching experience
* Advanced degree and/or teaching credential
* Ability to tutor multiple subjects
* Experience working with students with learning disabilities
Subjects We Tutor:
⁃ English (all levels)
⁃ Spanish (all levels)
⁃ Math (Pre-Algebra through Calculus)
⁃ Social Sciences (US History, Modern World History, Economics, US Government, Psychology)
⁃ Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Environmental Science)
Pay: $27 - 33 an hour for tutoring; $17 an hour for all training, prep time and drive time between students' homes.
