Under supervision, *the Instructional Assistant will perform a variety of instructional and clerical activities as directed by a teacher in a preschool classroom setting and will need to perform all related duties as assigned.
*
Instructional Assistants will assist with day-to-day classroom activities, games, play time, meal times, biological needs, and more.
This is a hands-on, in-person position working directly with preschool aged students.
This position is ~30 hours per week.
*Specific Duties Include:*
* Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up learning activities;
* Assist in the management and shaping of student behavior through the use of positive reinforcement strategies;
* Auditory and visual monitoring of students both inside the classroom and during outside activities;
* May perform clerical duties such as filing or duplicating materials;
* Use computer to maintain student records, attendance and files;
* Maintain student discipline in the absence of the teacher;
* Assist in maintaining a neat, orderly, and attractive learning environment;
* Perform all related duties as assigned;
*Minimum Requirements:*
-High school diploma
-Prior professional experience working with children
