About the Role

The Manager, Instructional Design and Development will report to the Director, People Development and Experience and work closely with retail store and corporate partners to design and deliver innovative curriculum that inspires and empowers team members across our business.
This individual will design, create, and help facilitate best-in-class development programs and resources tailored to Ariat’s collaborative culture.
The person in this role will partner closely with cross-functional subject matter experts across multiple functions and locations to produce, maintain, and deliver top-tier learning materials that are dynamic, engaging, and scalable.
They will collaborate closely with Ariat Retail leadership and other business partners to align training initiatives with business goals and objectives.
You’ll Make a Difference by Identifying learning gaps, strengths, and opportunities and recommending learning solutions that develop leadership capabilities, drive service excellence and brand loyalty, and business growth Designing impactful and measurable learning content with targeted and strategic delivery methodologies (e.
g.
, video solutions, self-guided modules, facilitator-led workshops, etc.
) Developing supporting training assets that facilitate the delivery and application of learning (e.
g.
facilitator guides, reference pages, takeaways, graphics, scripts, assessments, long/short format videos, etc.
) Evaluating current retail environment learning delivery strategies and materials and implementing best practice solutions as necessary Establishing metrics to evaluate success, analyzing data, and forecasting future L&D needs for assigned partners Facilitating live training sessions in-person and online for a variety of adult learning styles in multiple locations Helping drive Ariat’s diversity and inclusivity initiatives forward through impactful programming Utilizing instructional tools including web-based training, visual aids, simulations, assessments and evaluations, and other educational materials Promoting a culture of curiosity and continuous learning Supporting Ariat policies, procedures, schedules, and budgets Partnering with the Director, the internal team, and external partners on multiple projects as needed About You 5-7 years minimum experience in Learning and Development Instructional Design and facilitation experience is required Experience supporting or working in a retail environment is required Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field; master’s degree preferred Proven track record in creating end-to-end courses and workshops using standard instructional design methodologies Enthusiasm for driving engagement by building consensus and collaborating cross-functionally Expert understanding of adult learning methodologies and developing content that leads to behavior change Experience with innovative learning technology including gamification, edutainment, and microlearning Knowledgeable in multi-location retail environment operations Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills Ability to travel up to 50% About Ariat Ariat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 per year.
The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
