Selling a complete Sony stereo system circa 1990.
All components and conditions are listed below.
1\.
Sony PS-LX110 Automatic Stereo Turntable System.
Looks: like new.
Functionality: it works, but tested vinyl plays noticeably slow, maybe at 80% of normal speed.
May need some sort of belt or component replacement.
2\.
Sony AX401 Acoustic Controlled Amplifier.
Looks: like new.
Functionality: works, no issues.
3\.
Sony FM Stereo/FM-AM Tuner ST-JX401.
Looks: like new.
Functionality: tested on several FM radio stations, no issues.
4\.
Sony Stereo Cassette Deck TC-W320.
Looks: like new.
Functionality: turns on, but did not have any cassettes to test.
Seems to work.
5\.
Sony 5-disc Compact Disc Player CDP-C201.
Looks: like new.
Functionality: works as intended.
6\.
Sony SU-S5010 Audio Rack cabinet.
Looks: mint condition, minor small wood surface wood chipped off.
Functionality: works as intended.
7 & 8: Two Sony SS-U501 Speakers.
Looks: Fair condition.
No issues with the wood and frame.
Speaker foam disintegrated, and will need replacement.
Mesh covers are frayed along some edges.
Functionality: both speakers play audio, but the quality is not great.
They will need to be inspected and re-foamed.
9\.
Sony RM-S104 remote control.
Looks: like new.
Functionality: untested, but should work.
No issues with the battery compartment, corrosion, etc.
10\.
All original documentation.
User manuals for most components, original warranty cards, safety warnings, and even the original receipts from 1990 Circut City.
Basically, all center rack electronic components are in GREAT condition.
Turntable needs a new motor or belt, speakers will need to be re-foamed and wiring inspected.
This is a rare fully complete vintage 1990s Sony stereo system, great for a collector and a minor project.
All original wires included as well and the system has been cleaned.
Logistics: I prefer to meet local in San Leandro since there are many heavy components to disassemble.
