Bent Audio NOH TVC passive preamplifier using the excellent Stevens & Billington TX102 transformers.

Both the "NOH" and other TX102 based passive pres have been referred to as "the best pre ever, at any price".

The wallwart power supply controls only the remote volume control, and can be unplugged if not using the remote.
The plastic remote was misplaced (has since been found) so I ordered a new one from the builder of this preamp, John Chapman.
His customer service is absolutely first rate.
Thus, the buyer will get the plastic and the new metal remote with the sale.
