The next game of the season is Saturday December 2 in Pleasanton and Saturday December 9th in San Jose.
Tournament locations vary throughout the Bay Area, with locations including: San Pablo, Pleasanton and San Jose.
The Piranha Poker Team is made up of aspiring amateur players who compete against each other for points (not money) through a series of multi-table tournaments.
At the end of the season, we send our best players to Las Vegas to compete at the World Series of Poker!
The team's main goals include:
1\.
Improving each other's skills through fair competition, discussions, and book sharing or recommending;
2\.
Providing practice that's applicable to WSOP events by creating a tournament environment that is similar to the WSOP in rules, blinds, and structure; and
3\.
Sending our best players to a WSOP event so that if any of our teammates cash then the team gets half of the winnings, and that player gets the other half.
Over the past 17 previous seasons, we have sent over 100 players to the WSOP.
Our players have cashed often at the WSOP, taking home thousands of dollars in prize money.
If you join us this season, then you could be one of our representatives.
You are welcome to join us and become part of an energetic, positive group of individuals (that includes both men and women) with a wide range of backgrounds and ages (from 21 - 80).
New players who join this year will get an additional 1000 in tournament chips for their first 6 tournaments.
