About the role The Global Technology Manager is responsible for leading IT support functions within offices, warehouses, other facilities, and to remote coworkers.
Technology supported includes Windows and MacOS computers, video conferencing, IoT devices, security systems, local network infrastructure, warehouse automation systems, and manufacturing systems.
Deliver optimum performance, availability, capacity, reliability and security for all supported systems, platforms, and networks within the assigned purview.
Ensure all support processes are correctly executed and properly documented.
Drive urgent and critical support issues to rapid resolution.
Manage team to deliver services at or above committed standards.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals and objectives.
Plans and manages teams of field services engineers to ensure correct running of processes, procedures and systems against SLAs and/or manages service contracts to meet SLAs.
Provides pertinent reports at an executive and management level to show attainment of SLAs and ongoing remediation plans.
Provides or arranges training for individual colleagues.
Maintains current talent assessments and global colleague development and succession plans that promote inclusion and diversity.
Maintains lifecycle, performance, capacity, DR and other operational plans and procedures, planning appropriate tests when required to meet audit needs.
Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and support of hardware and software systems across the organization.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and requirements and provide effective IT solutions and support.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including negotiation, procurement, and performance monitoring.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
Able to converse and write effectively in English.
Able to create and conduct formal presentations.
Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.
Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
Able to exhibit the ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others.
Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.
California Hiring Salary Range: $120,000 - 145,500.
00 Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
