Your Role at Baxter The HR Manager provides strategic partnership and is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in the MPT Advanced surgery group.
The position creates partnerships across the business areas and functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees.
The HR Manager maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.
This position reports to the Sr Mgr HR, MPT - Adv Surgery.

What You'll be Doing Advise with management on a variety of HR and business-related issues, both strategic and operational.
Partner with the Senior Leadership team to translate and ensure alignment to the vision and culture.
Analyzes trends and metrics to proactively develop solutions, programs and policies.
Recommends innovative approaches and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Provides day-to-day performance management mentorship to management (e.
g.
, coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, HR policy guidance and interpretation when appropriate).
Drive common HR processes and provide onsite support to plant population.
Serve as operations HR representative on projects driven by HR Centers of Excellence (CoE) and implement locally, as appropriate.
Leads organizational change efforts in partnership with the Sr HR Manager.
Drives an effective reward and recognition strategy tin partnership with managers and functional partners that reinforces the Best Place to Work culture and behaviors.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partners with the legal department as needed.
Ensures regulatory compliance and alliance with Baxter’s core principles by being a transparent and exemplary role model, implementing training and process controls for site employees, and investigating concerns of conduct inconsistent with these principles.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of soft skills and management related training programs to ensure success.
Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Process HR Operational Transactions related to HRIS (Workday) and timekeeping/payroll (Kronos) systems.
Facilitate New Hire Orientation and HR Training programs.
Handle recordkeeping and filing system through knowledge of Microsoft Applications and specialized software/systems in HR related field.
Support all compliance requirements and ensure ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment.
Support employee promotion and hiring process; develop or update job descriptions, attend job fairs, assist with developing performance expectations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring HS Diploma or GED, required.
5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years of generalist experience, required.
Healthcare and/or manufacturing plant background, preferred.
Workday and/or Kronos experience, preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Knowledge of HR management components such as training, compensation, performance management, change leadership and organizational design.
Ability lead, collaborate and communicate effectively within and across plants.
Strong project and process leadership skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply State and Federal Laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEO, Title VII, etc.
Experience working with Leadership Team members and employees working from a variety of locations (globally).
Experience working with employees to rollout processes or policies and proven ability to handle and resolve conflict.
Strong HR process orientation (Compensation, Talent Mgmt, etc).

The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 - $132,000 annually.
The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position.
We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
