*POSITION OVERVIEW:* We have an exciting Full Time opportunity for a well-qualified Clinical Program Supervisor working with the School-Based Early Periodic Screening Diagnostic Treatment (EPSDT) team and providing broader support across the organization.
The School-Based/EPSDT program provides psychotherapeutic support services to students with full scope Medi-Cal insurance in Alameda County - currently including four school districts and nine schools.
La Familia proposes linguistically appropriate (Spanish) and culturally sensitive mental health services, specializing in trauma focused and family oriented treatment.
*Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:* *1.
* *Program Leadership and Standards:* a.
Provide clinical leadership to SBBH program staff, including consultation, supervision, and documentation review.
b.
Support Director of Children’s Mental Health: School Based Servicesin other clinical and administrative tasks.
c.
Actively network and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program services and agency objectives.
d.
Lead and collaborate on special projects related to the success of assigned programs.
e.
Lead as hiring manager for program staff: using network connections to identify appropriate entities for staff recruitment, develop and update job descriptions and interview questions, collaborate with other leadership staff on final selections and onboarding.
*2.
* *Staff Management and Supervision:* a.
Provide leadership and supervision to program staff and SBBH Supervisor including, but not limited to: i.
Weekly individual supervision meetings with direct report staff.
ii.
Serve as Clinical Supervisor for all SBBH staff and both Administrative and Clinical Supervisor for staff.
iii.
Regular informal feedback (in addition to organizationally-determined formalized feedback processes) to ensure that all staff continue to develop professionally over time.
b.
Provide leadership in collaboration with other leadership staff: i.
Develop, maintain, update, and distribute Program Manuals for each program and Staff Orientation materials.
ii.
Establish and enforce expectations related to professional ethical comportment.
iii.
Develop, edit, and implement training processes and materials for all staff.
iv.
Support placement of Graduate Trainees within programs in collaboration with the Multicultural Psychotherapy Training Institute.
v.
Provide back-up administrative supervision on behalf of Director of Children’s Mental Health: School Based Services.
c.
Establish and track performance expectations for programs and staff members, most notably hours of billable services, documentation standards, and quality clinical interventions.
Also collaborate to develop, maintain, and verify quality standards for the program in collaboration with La Familia’s Quality Assurance Department.
d.
Oversee work product of independent contractors, as appropriate.
*3.
* *Contract Management* · Review and understand all elements of program contracts on a regular basis (no less than annually), including: performance expectations, staffing levels, reporting, regulatory bodies, policy requirements, program meeting.
· Collaborate with La Familia Development and Administrative staff in identifying, pursuing, and fulfilling appropriate funding opportunities for the Department or Agency.
· Collaborate with Department Director regarding managing the program budgets.
· Participate in funder meetings and collaborative efforts, in collaboration with other leadership.
Communicate effectively, proactively, and professionally with funder representatives at all levels.
· Serve as a liaison with all funders on all programmatic and operations issues.
· Attend all funder-required meetings, events, and trainings.
· Ensure delivery of program elements in compliance with contract language.
· Submit all necessary documents and reports to funder by deadlines.
· Work with supervisor and La Familia Administration to ensure appropriate contract expenditures.
*Qualifications & Experience:* ● Graduate degree in mental health (e.
g.
PhD, Psy.
D.
, MSW and/or MA in Psychology or related field).
Must be licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology.
● Eligible to provide Clinical Supervision, including having been licensed for at least two years and taken the appropriate continuing education courses.
● Knowledge of principles and practices of modern clinical psychology, including psychopathology, personality theory, and diagnostic interviewing.
Psychotherapy including crisis stabilization, brief therapy and behavior change, casework, systems theory, family therapy, community psychology and community mental health.
● Experience working with school based populations and principles of school collaboration, family supports, and crisis interventions.
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and staff of all levels.
● Ability to determine the needs of individual situations regarding diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, taking an effective course of action, and follow through with effective engagement plans.
