Cuberg is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of R&D, Cell Technology to lead and drive the development of next-generation battery technologies.
As the Director of R&D, Cell Technology, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's cell technology roadmap.
This leadership position requires a deep technical expertise in lithium-based battery systems and a strong focus on innovation and commercialization.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and managing a team of scientists and engineers to deliver advanced battery solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the R&D team to develop and optimize next-generation battery technologies.
Set the strategic direction and priorities for cell technology development.
Drive innovation and continuously evaluate new opportunities and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful translation of R&D efforts into commercial products.
Manage research projects, budgets, and timelines to meet company objectives.
Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in battery technology and apply them to the company's roadmap.
Communicate and present technical concepts, project status, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and foster partnerships with external organizations and research institutions.
Requirements
Ph.
D.
in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in battery research and development, with a focus on lithium-based systems.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of scientists and engineers.
In-depth knowledge of battery chemistry, materials, and cell design.
Proven track record in developing and commercializing battery technologies.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
Benefits
The target US compensation range for this full-time position is $200,000 - $265,000 + equity + benefits.
Compensation ranges are determined by level, role and location.
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire total cash compensation (base + bonus), individual pay is determined by additional factors including relevant job-related skills, experience and additional factors.
