Under general direction of the District Training Center Superintendent and Paint Region Managers I & II for the planning, organizing and coordination of district training programs.
The incumbent will consult with Managers and Supervisors to identify and resolve training issues, provide options and alternatives that may include the development of training programs to meet identified needs.
The incumbent will identify training needs, develop course objectives, construct lesson plans, develop course delivery methods, develop in-house evaluations, develop cost effect training, and identify effective resources/methods such as classroom training computer/web-based training, use of internal or external consultants.
Consult with managers and supervisors to identify and resolve technical training issues, provide options and alternatives that may include the development of training programs to meet identified needs; oversee and secure procurement of warehouse equipment supplies and sundries.
Perform duties of Facility Manager and Security Officer for District Training Facility (DTC).
May require Travel.

Working Conditions This position is located in Oakland, Alameda County.
The position is located in the District 4 Office Building.
The incumbent will perform work indoors in a climate- controlled office environment under artificial lighting with a personal computer in a cubicle or teleworking environment.

The incumbent may be required to work for extended periods of time on personal computer or laptop.
The incumbent may also be asked to travel within the state on day and/or overnight trips.
