We do it because it's right! Job Description: Acts as a primary liaison between Hill Physicians Medical Group (HPMG), physicians, office staff and contracted ancillary providers and facilities.
The Senior Practice Support Advisor will support the provider network within an assigned geography.
This individual must establish creditability and build trust within physician offices.
Primary responsibilities will be to interface regularly with the practice staff , identify quality improvement opportunities that align with HPMG initiatives across all lines of business, assist practices in leveraging/enhancing existing technologies or adopting new technologies to optimize performance, practice efficiencies and improve patient outcomes (i.
e.
, EPIC HillChart, MyChart, HillMetrics, Provider Portal & HillLink), support key organizational goals and collaborate with other internal departments to identify supporting resources as appropriate to achieve objectives (i.
e.
, Government Programs, Population Health, Case Management, eSolutions & PPO Segment).
Job Responsibilities Educates and advises network providers on how to maximize compensation and performance related to quality improvement incentives, appropriate documentation of risk, patient experience survey results, total cost of care, and the use of electronic tools to influence performance.
Review of and education on payment methodology and recommended focus areas for improvement Builds relationships with providers and office staff.
Acts as brand ambassador for HPMG, representing Hill’s programs and policies within providers’ offices Responds to network providers’ needs, triaging any issues the practice faces to the appropriate department within HPMG (e.
g.
, Claims, Authorizations, Epic EHR, IT).
Tracks to resolution to maintain provider satisfaction with HPMG.
Recruits physician participation in Hill offerings and solutions, including but not limited to the Clinically Integrated Network, Epic EHR, preferred specialists and facilities, care management outreach, etc.
Trains physicians and practice staff to access and utilize the Provider Portal, accessing Authorization/Care Management systems & electronic population health management tools to close care gaps Educates practice staff on the requirements to participate in HPMG programs (e.
g.
, PPO Clinically Integrated Network).
Conducts Practice Manager Meetings and New Provider Office Orientations.
Provides ongoing education to physicians and office staff at all levels on workflow processes and best practices, which may include training, evaluations, and development of education components.
Leads presentations in a variety of settings.
Participates in the design of Hill initiatives, providing feedback based on experience in physician offices.
Participates in strategizing outreach approach with other PSAs.
Mentors and guides other PSAs and new PSAs as experience allows.
Required Experience At least 2 years’ experience in physician relations, physician-office centric roles, and/or direct sales roles.
Experience in physician office business operations highly desired Strong verbal and written-communication skills Demonstrated experience building relationships and influencing others to take action Excellent public speaking skills; training experience helpful Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and manage multiple projects and tasks, with varying timelines, at once Self-directed and able to work productively independently, yet able to function well in a team-oriented environment Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Improvement Science, or Practice Transformation a plus Aptitude, familiarity or experience with current healthcare technology applications for physician offices, such as practice management systems, electronic medical records, and/or billing systems a plus Basic understanding of medical terminology Basic understanding of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding a plus Valid California Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance Required Education Bachelor’s Degree highly desired, or minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a managed care, clinical practice or healthcare environment.
Additional Information This is a Hybrid position - successful candidate will be required to travel to the San Ramon office as needed.
Salary: $75,000.
