** POSITION OVERVIEW The Product Marketing Manager (Pressure Injury Abatement/ Softgoods Portfolio) provides product and market oversight for assigned products.
The position is responsible for strategic planning, pricing analysis, portfolio management, competitive market analysis, and budgeting for assigned products.
In addition, the product marketing manager serves as a marketing advisor providing product and market overviews, coordination of product development activities, in-depth business case analysis, and recommendations.
In addition, the product marketing manager will collaborate closely with downstream marketing managers, clinical marketing, marketing operations, R&D, operations, and other internal stakeholders to set portfolio strategies for assigned product lines.

Perform market trends, analysis, product pricing, and promotions.
Monitor and evaluate competitive products and marketplace dynamics.
Compile and report on product activities and achieving goals and objectives to management.
Develop, lead, implement, and monitor the progress of comprehensive marketing plans to include measurable metrics, objectives, goals, strategies, tactics, in-depth competitive market analysis, product analysis, and timetables.
Implement both long and short-term plans.
Monitor results and implement adjustments where appropriate.
Establish systems, programs, policies, and procedures to develop, plan and implement product launches and new distribution channels.
Lead the upstream marketing activities as part of a core team member on development projects.
Compile user needs through surveys, clinical observation, data collection, and clinical labs.
Work cross-functionally as a core team member to fulfill the project development checklist requirements.
Develop the marketing plan and be responsible for the business requirements.
Work independently and in a team environment; manage multiple projects, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, RA/QA, etc.
) to develop, execute programs, and drive the product development processes.
Lead the development of support material, advertising, and collateral tools in collaboration with Marketing personnel and outside agencies.
Ensure all marketing collaterals meet company-approved branding and trademark guidelines and obtain final approval from the appropriate departments.
Develop, implement, and monitor an approved marketing budget and forecast relating to assigned product portfolio, conventions, meetings, advertising/promotions, literature, etc.
Oversee the Opportunity Assessment and Business Case models and recommend any new product, line extension, and market opportunity to senior management personnel.
Provide content on marketing strategy, competitive comparison, market dynamics, sales support materials, and key marketing programs to drive Mizuho OSI business.
Work closely with key surgeons and product development to define market and product requirements for new products and markets needed to enable key surgical procedures further and drive procedure adoption.
Responsible for evaluating the pricing and profitability of the assigned product portfolio and making recommendations for changes, with justification, where required, to meet the corporate goals.
Submit price changes for approval to the Manager.
Interface with Regulatory and Quality Department, where appropriate, regarding product complaints and coordinate resolution.
In coordination with the Regulatory and Quality Department, ensure product lines comply with FDA regulations.
Help create an ongoing effort to improve the Company and the Department through personal action and by contributing ideas to support both the Department and Company’s continuous improvement efforts.
Adhere to product FDA online marketing guidelines in all material created and posted.
In addition, adhere to applicable GMP and ISO 13485 processes and procedures.
Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies, procedures, and work instructions, including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need to be successful in this role: Requires 5+ years of directly related experience in medical device marketing, with 3-4 years P&L experience.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing/ Business or related field required.
MBA preferred.
Familiarity with the medical device market, operating room segment, hospital purchasing processes, and ambulatory surgical facilities is a plus.
Medical device/technology marketing experience preferred.
Must be comfortable working in a clinical setting (e.
g.
, operating room/theater, lab environment).
Expertise in creating meaningful full marketing content in a highly regulated healthcare industry.
Excellent marketing plan development and implementation skills and experience.
Ability to demonstrate strategic marketing planning techniques.
Successful analytical, business modeling, forecasting, and competitive product and market analysis experience.
Successful experience budgeting and pricing products as well as budget management experience.
Excellent facilitation skills, including the ability to create presentations and facilitate effective group presentations.
Must be effective in presenting materials internally, externally, and at senior levels, including Executives.
