Are you majoring in a life science but interested in a career in business or sales? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Generation/Appointment Setter Intern to join our team and help grow our customer base.
This position provides an opportunity to gain exposure to the commercial side of the biotech industry for individuals seeking alternatives to medical or research careers.
Responsibilities:
Utilize business intelligence tools and public information such as ZoomInfo, grants databases, etc to mine for new leads online.
Ensure the accuracy and quality of scraped data to provide valuable and actionable leads for the sales team.
Contact/cold call potential customers considered targets for Mawi’s sample collection technologies.
Will be trained to answer entry-level technical questions.
Recommends products and/or services based on customer’s needs.
Update CRM platform with call notes from discussions with prospects.
Qualify and develop incoming leads from website inquires, trade shows, and inbound calls/emails.
Process product sample requests and follow up to ensure timely testing.
Account or research area specific research – drive funnel lead generation by identifying key opinion and decision makers, map related researchers to KOLs/KDMs.
Database management: Maintain integrity and accuracy of customer information in CRM platform.
Generate weekly reports summarizing key metrics, such as the number of leads generated, conversion rates, and the quality of scraped data.
Present findings and recommendations to the sales team for continuous improvement.
Meet/exceed the weekly call/contact KPIs.
(Key Performance Indicators that are leading indicators).
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Life Sciences with an interest in business.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, communicating effectively on the phone and video.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Familiarity with web scraping tools and techniques, or willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of sales and lead generation concepts.
Previous sales/telesales experience is a strong plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis tools especially Excel.
Skilled in database management, previous experience with CRM systems a plus.
Works well independently, good at time management, and highly organized.
Location and Attendance Requirement:
This position is based at our Pleasanton headquarters, and attendance at the office is a fundamental requirement for the successful performance of your duties.
This role is not eligible for remote work or telecommuting arrangements.
Your presence in the office is crucial to maintaining effective collaboration, fostering team spirit, and meeting business objectives.
