Viewstream Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Marketing and Communications Manager for our client, an organization serving individuals and families with developmental disabilities.
This position will oversee the development and management of our marketing and communication efforts.
This role focuses on producing, scheduling, coordinating, and project-managing materials for external audiences on behalf of our internal business partners.
This is a hybrid role requiring 15% time on-site in Walnut Creek, CA.
Core Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions Serve as the main point of contact for key internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring business partner satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand clients' and families’ needs and deliver effective solutions.
Envision, write, proof, and edit communications per a modified AP style.
Take the lead on varying projects, ensuring timely and successful execution.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones and deliverables.
Monitor project timelines to ensure adherence to established goals.
Write, edit, and reorganize existing healthcare materials to enhance clarity and effectiveness.
Identify new communications opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
Ensure all content aligns with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
Develop engaging and informative materials for healthcare providers and families.
Act as a liaison to update and make recommendations for two digital platforms catering to our providers and families.
Coordinate external events, such as podcasts, conferences, or webinars.
Stay informed about digital trends and technologies in healthcare to enhance platform functionality.
Implement strategies to optimize user experience and drive platform engagement.
Write and deploy email communications using our CRM and email marketing platforms.
Tailor communications to effectively reach and engage target audiences.
Monitor email performance metrics and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.
Organize and support the team in preparation for conference appearances and exhibitions.
Coordinate logistics, materials, and presentations to ensure a seamless and impactful presence.
Contribute content for newsletters and social media.
Qualifications Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to: 8-10 years experience in a marketing or communications department.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.
Strong writing capabilities.
Excellent project management skills.
Attention to detail.
Deep experience working in the Microsoft Office suite, including excellent PowerPoint skills.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams toward task completion.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and analytical skills.
Highest degree of professionalism and diplomacy.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Knowledge & Skills: Experience utilizing web-based CMS and other digital publishing tools; working knowledge of HTML.
Strong project management capabilities and experience building projects and collaborating utilizing project management software.
Ability to remain agile, resourceful, and responsive in a hybrid (largely remote) working environment, working west coast hours.
Experience managing day-to-day responsibilities, with or without supervision, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills, and maintaining transparency on projects, timelines, etc.
Ability to utilize and manipulate photography and graphics for projects, websites and social media posts.
Service-oriented and flexible.
Track record of providing excellent customer service and operating in a fluid, fast-changing, high-growth environment.
Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.

Utilize computer and cell phone for effective communication.
Conditions of Employment Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
Must attend any required training.
COVID-19 vaccination and subsequent boosters required for any in office presence at all company locations.
