*Position Summary:*
The Production Inventory Control Supervisor will play a central role in supporting the plant team by managing the materials needed for production and closing daily the production orders.
The two material handlers at the plant also report to this position.

*Essential Functions:*
· Review production materials pick list daily to ensure both shifts have what they need from the warehouse for production.
· Ensure that FIFO is followed and monitor inventory for potential expiration date and accuracy issues.
· Supervise the AM and PM materials handler positions
· Close daily production orders in SAP by issuing materials out of inventory according to the written plant paperwork and scan paperwork into SAP.
· Ensure the plant has sufficient production supplies at all times.
· Investigate any issues with closing the production orders by reviewing with Production Supervisors, Line Leads, the Material Handlers, and Warehouse personnel.
· Attend daily production meeting to call out concerns and adjust production order due dates as necessary.
· Review same day shipments that required prompt closure of production orders to minimize delays in shipping activities.
· Perform cycle counts at the plant as requested and play a key role in tri-annual physical inventory process
· Oversee transfer of completed finished goods to the main warehouse.
*Skills required:*
· Food manufacturing experience highly preferred
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve issues timely
· Bilingual in English and Spanish recommended but not required
· Ability to work equally well with both plant hourly and management team members
· Be hands-on and willing to investigate issues on their own at the warehouse or plant
· Ability to spend 50% of the time on plant production floor
· Willingness and ability to resolve problems and work independently
· ERP experience especially related to inventory, batch control, and expiration dates (SAP a plus)
· Forklift certified a plus
*Education and Experience:*
· Minimum 5 year’s experience in an inventory or materials management position in a food manufacturing environment and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

May require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.

Schedule may vary at times based on business needs, including Saturday work.

Pay: $72,000.
