The *Lead Engineering Technician* position will work with floor supervisors and Engineering in developing assembly procedures and documentation.
This person will be the process expert from production floor that will assist on process improvements, technical questions, and rework/repair of products that are not in compliance with required specifications.
It involves testing and troubleshooting of products to ensure they meet company standards.
Train and Audit the manufacturing floor.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
* Assist in weld development, execute pilot production and welding process documentation for Laser Welding, GTAW (TIG/MIG), Orbital Welding, and other welding processes.
* Provide technical assistance and leadership to assembly staff as needed.
* Provide trainings on manufacturing floor for building Therm-x products.
* Perform periodic audits in manufacturing to ensure compliance.
* Support manufacturing floor with technical product issues and rework/repairs
* Work with Training Department to ensure new hires are identified and complete role-based trainings according to their job description.
* Assemble parts using standard raw materials such as thermocouple wire and connectors along with custom fabricated materials to produce a complete product.
* Prepares and may assists in determining compounds and procedures for potting.
*Desired Skills;*
* Associates Degree or equivalent technical training related to Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and Production Control.
* Two years experience in sensor and heater manufacturing or similar discipline, or a combination of experience and training equal to four years.
* Trained fabricator in multiple manufacturing techniques with knowledge and hands on skills in: Welding, Tig and Mig, Assembly, Electrical Testing, Mechanical Testing e.
