YOU As an Associate Lab Technician in our Pleasanton, CA lab you will be responsible for supporting the Lab Manager in all areas of test lab operations from ordering materials, coordinating calibrations and equipment maintenance, support for maintaining accreditations and compliance to assisting with the day-to-day testing.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) Work with R&D Lab Manager (and Admin Team as applicable) to create, review, and process purchase order requests, ordering consumable materials to fulfill new orders as well as maintain existing inventory.
Organize and maintain parts and materials used in testing.
(40%) Assist R&D Lab Manager with all aspects of ISO:17025 & 9001 requirements to maintain compliance, including vendor evaluations, document review, meeting minutes, and calibration and equipment maintenance.
(20%) Quality, Efficiency and Safety: Assist R&D Lab Manager in creating, managing, and resolution of PIO’s and NCR’s.
Manage LEAN Projects and various tasks required to maintain an organized, safe and efficient lab environment.
(20%) Work with R&D Engineers to fabricate test set-ups, forms, jigs, etc.

Data and documentation storage and maintenance - copying photos/videos, mill certs, and material test reports to the test folders as well as help with test log updates.
(20%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes.
Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: High School Diploma or GED required.
A valid drivers license and maintain a driving record that complies with company policy required.
AA Degree from 2yr college or technical school preferred.
Construction experience or Civil/Structural Engineering knowledge a plus.
Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.

Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft software; Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work well with hand and power tools and powered industrial equipment.
Attendance: Ability to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear.

This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
TRAVEL REQUIRED This job requires up to 5% domestic travel.
WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, non-exempt position is located in the Pleasanton R&D Lab location.
RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position.
PAY $22.
16 - $27.
