Maintenance Laborer (Seasonal)

JOB ***SEASONAL JOB OPPORTUNITY***MAINTENANCE LABORERThe City of Concord Public Works Department is recruiting for Maintenance Laborers to work for the City's Parks Division to assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the City's parks so that they are well-kept for the enjoyment of our residents.
This recruitment is open and continuous, and the list established by this recruitment may be used to fill future part-time, limited term vacancies for up to one year, as vacancies arise.
The Parks Division: Parks Services provides safe, aesthetically pleasing parks designed and maintained to meet the diverse needs for active and passive recreation and leisure activities.
What you will be doing: Under direct supervision and independently, the Maintenance Laborer will perform litter/trash pick-up, restroom clean-up, general maintenance, leaf/debris pick-up and miscellaneous duties in park locations and other areas throughout the City.
The Maintenance Laborer will also perform other duties as assigned.
Part Time/Seasonal Maintenance Laborers are hired by the City's Public Works Department throughout the year, on an as-needed basis.
These are part-time/temporary positions, limited to 999 hours per fiscal year, provide no benefits, and are paid at various hourly rates according to position related abilities.

The report must be dated after April 1, 2023 and show the current status of your driver's license.
Candidates must have a clean driving record for the previous seven year period in order to qualify.
All qualified applications and supplemental responses will be competitively evaluated, and those candidates demonstrating the strongest qualifications for the position will be invited to interview.
Successful candidates will be provided a conditional offer of employment, and must clear DOJ live scan, medical evaluation and other related components.
Conviction History: If you receive a conditional job offer, you will be fingerprinted, and your fingerprints will be sent to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The resulting report of your conviction history (if any) will be used to determine whether the nature of your conviction conflicts with the specific duties and responsibilities of the job for which you have received a conditional job offer.
If a conflict exists, you will be asked to present any evidence of rehabilitation that may mitigate the conflict, except when federal or state regulations bar employment in specific circumstances.
Having a conviction history does not automatically preclude you from a job with the City of Concord.
