Site Validation & Readiness Technician

What to Expect Tesla’s Collision Repair department is looking for someone to join the New Store Opening Team as a Site Validation and Readiness Technician supporting equipment setup and validation at new Tesla Collision Centers.
As a Technician, you will travel to New Stores and ensure they are able to successfully open with the right tools in place for our technicians to welcome customers and complete repairs.
What You’ll Do Assist the Program Manager, Collision New Site Opening with ensuring the proper tooling is in place and set up correctly for First Customer Appointments Travel to sites and meet with teams to ensure projects are on track and any issues are being addressed Work cross-functionally between teams maintaining professional working relationships with stakeholders to resolve blockers and ensure success Work with internal teams to ensure technical systems are in place for vehicle repairs Validate operations of paint booths, welders, tire equipment, and other Tesla-specific items to ensure resources are in place Troubleshoot and work with vendors to correct any issues as they are found, reporting findings out to team and up to leadership Inventory, set up and organize all consumables and materials for opening Partner with Environmental Health & Safety Teams to confirm equipment is available to teams Adopt a strong and effective communication with team and leadership to update on site progress.
What You’ll Bring Ability to travel up to 80% of the time with flexibility to self-manage working hours across multiple time zones and geos Demonstrated experience working and supporting successful expansion initiatives Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, Collision or Construction industry experience preferred Highly Proficient with MS office – including Excel, Planner, Sway and PowerPoint Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication Detail-oriented, organized, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities while demonstrating a positive attitude in stressful situations Flexible with last-minute changes and working hours to interact across time zones Passionate, self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight Ability to deliver results through collaboration across multi-functional teams
