Stryker Engineering interns will get to: • Impact the development and manufacturing of cutting edge products • Gain experience within a fast paced and growing industry • Apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting • Implement new ideas, be constantly challenged, and develop your skills Performs supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to: Material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers.
Focuses resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training.
The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making.
Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic.
The tasks are generally routine and manual.
The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations.
Typically requires selecting between solutions already established.
This job typically requires no experience.
What You Need Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer Cumulative 3.
0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring Must be legally authorized to work in the U.
