Position Overview:
As the first USG Pricing Analyst within our organization, you will assume a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing all aspects of USG pricing for proposals, charting the course for our pricing team's growth in alignment with the company's expansion plans.
Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive cost analysis, leading cross-functional Cost/Price Volume teams, and ensuring the creation of compliant, compelling, and award-worthy proposals.
Additionally, you will actively participate in proposal development meetings, collaborate extensively with various departments, drive process improvements, and provide day-to-day guidance to less senior Proposal Analysts as the team expands.
Your expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis will be integral to our competitive positioning in the government contracting space.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline with 6+ years of Pricing related experience
Additional years of experience in government contracting principles and pricing analysis will be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience in all aspects of cost proposal development, pricing strategy, government contracting and contract types (Cost-Plus, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, GSA Schedules, etc)
A good working knowledge of FAR/DFAR, CAS, DCMA/DCAA, and basic estimating methodologies
Willing to apply a ‘cradle-to-grave’ proposal mentality for all proposal pricing and Cost Volume development efforts, with the understanding some evening and weekend work may occasionally be required
At a minimum, highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, etc).
The ideal candidate will also be highly proficient with Google’s tool suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.
)
Knowledge of pricing tools and templates, and ability to model business cases
Ability to build dynamic pricing models and to handle large/complex data sets
Demonstrated ability to understand government/customer requirements, apply contracting and pricing principles, and develop compelling solutions
Must be internal and external customer focused and possess professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail, ability to multitask, and thrive in a faced-paced deadline driven environment

Must be able to acquire a Secret clearance (at a minimum, TS preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Secret or Top Secret level clearance
Advanced degree/certification (MBA, NCMA, ICEAA, etc.
)
Experience with commercial business models
Experience with pricing international proposals
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables)
ProPricer experience
CPA Experience
Experience with manufacturing cost accounting
Active Government Clearance (TS/SCI)
Primary Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis:
Develop complete and compliant Cost/Price Volume narratives and/or proposal pricing for the company’s proposal
Lead the proposal Cost/Price Volume teams, including contracts, subcontracts & procurement, capture, finance, and technical estimators to produce fully compliant, complete and compelling and awardable Cost/Price proposals
Prepare Pricing files in accordance with company policies and RFP instructions
Participate in cost and pricing peer reviews of Cost/Price Volume narratives and supporting Pricing files
Analyze and track the costs of raw materials, labor, overhead, and other production-related expenses for hardware products.
Other tasks and responsibilities may include identifying comparative historical data and developing Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs) that can be used as reliable predictors of tasks to be performed
Reporting and Documentation:
Participate in proposal development and compliance meetings, such as: pricing strategy discussions, price-to-win and risk reviews, peer reviews, bid / no-bid decisions, color reviews including Red Team compliance assessments, white glove pre-submittal reviews, etc.
Job requires extensive coordination with the Product & Engineering, Accounting & Finance, Legal & Contracts, and BD & Proposal teams
Also requires interfacing with the USG customer program offices, DCMA and DCAA; presenting estimate data to management; and performing special assignments when required
Process Improvement:
The ideal candidate will initiate process improvements to enhance productivity & efficiency within pricing & estimating functions
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the production and supply chain
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Activities will include analyzing program requirements, coordinating and preparing labor bases of estimates (BOEs), and supporting internal proposal reviews, customer audit/fact-findings, and negotiations
Individual will work closely with various company personnel to develop BOEs with substantive task descriptions and sound bases of estimates that meet established proposal quality standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production cost budgets and forecasts.
