P6 Scheduler

*POSITION TITLE: P6 Scheduler* *PAY STATUS: *Non-exempt *SUPERVISES:* N/A *PAY RANGE: *$140,000- $160,000 *General Responsibility:* This newly created position will provide critical scheduling support using CPM project schedules in P6 (Primavera) to heavy civil contractor with projects throughout the San Francisco Bay area and the Sacramento area.
This position will also be instrumental in establishing P6 scheduling capabilities for our company, including processes, templates, standards, etc.
The successful candidate will be a high caliber P6 Scheduler.
*Significant Duties:* · Develop, manpower load, monitor, control and update the project schedule using Primavera software to ensure the project is optimally executed.
· Assist in planning and developing detailed engineering and construction baseline schedules for heavy civil/infrastructure projects including cost loading and CPM scheduling.
· Assemble monthly schedule update submittals per project.
· Integrate and manage weekly P6 schedule within the client’s enterprise system.
· Evaluate, perform resource analysis, perform critical path analysis, and prepare reports.
· Analyze drawings, specifications, and statements.
· Develop standards/guidelines for pre-award project schedules in conjunction with project management.
· Develop project/construction baseline CPM schedules in accordance with developed guidelines for approval by project teams.
· Develop schedule templates for future use.
· Develop and maintain an effective quality control program to ensure services are performance in accordance with established standards.
· Develop and implement procedures to identify, prevent, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services.
· Assist Project Manager with schedule updates while coordinating input from Field Supervision and other stakeholders · Analyze schedules for flow and provide layouts and reports · Perform QA/QC on P6 schedules and validates logic ties to ensure conformance · Perform QA/QC on contractors’ schedule submittals for conformance with contract scope and terms · Read drawings to determine if work is in or out of scope and understands terms and conditions of the contract to determine if any compensable or non-compensable time extensions have merit · Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses · Assist the scheduling team in reporting projects as necessary *Requirements/Qualifications:* · Minimum of 10 years of experience developing resource loaded CPM project schedules in P6 (Primavera).
· Advanced skills in Primavera P6.
· BSCE or BSCM preferred.
· Advanced competency in schedule and cost control, preferred.
· Experience in construction – Heavy Civil, preferred.
· Exceptional communication skills with others at all levels of the organization.
· Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $140,000.
