Weatherization Technician / Handyman - Santa Clara County

We are seeking a highly driven and motivated applicant to join our team.
Candidates with experience working with their hands as an HVAC technician, installer, and any other related work field will be heavily considered.
Experience may be substituted with experience in a technical school.
As a weatherization technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to, arriving on time to scheduled appointments, performing all necessary installations required for all specific programs (IE: weatherstripping, smart thermostat, low flow shower heads, checking appliances such as water heater and furnace), and greeting each customer with a positive and friendly attitude.
Our weatherization technicians are one of our vital positions in ensuring customer satisfaction and being an educator in supporting energy savings.
The service territory we are looking for is in the Santa Clara county area.
This position will include steady, year-round employment with benefits.
Duties/Expectations (training provided): Install water and gas-saving measures such as low-flow showerheads, faucet aerators, and thermostatic shower valves Install weatherization measures such as door weather-stripping, sealing plumbing and electrical penetrations, and attic insulation Install HVAC measures such as testing and sealing of the ducting system, brushless fan motor, and smart thermostat Properly complete required paperwork Attend company meetings as required Be responsible for company equipment and vehicles Report on the status of each scheduled appointment Provide top-quality customer service Be comfortable with selling additional upgrades to the customer Skills/Qualifications: High school graduates are strongly preferred Trade and skilled laborers are preferred Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license Must have the ability to work with your hands and problem solve Bilingual is a plus What we have to offer: Company vehicle provided + fuel card Tools provided + initial training and any ongoing training is provided Compensation - Base hourly pay and commission additive Energy For Life Focus – Synergy’s energy efforts aren’t just for the utilities but to help you have the Energy for Life that you’re striving for.
