We are currently seeking a Production Manager with the below qualifications:
Professional Attributes
Ensure all Safety rules and procedures are followed in the facility and ensure active safety teams and culture exists.
Lead Safety Gemba walks in the site and collaborate with other teams to implement safety kaizens.
Be quality-oriented and must be able to reinforce quality standards and procedure adhesion
Collaborates with other departments to improve existing processes and recommends changes to enhance quality and productivity while improving profitability
Ensure all job set up and workflows meet safety, manning and production requirements
Meet customer quality and delivery requirements
Oversee all job functions performed in production areas, secondary operations, manufacturing engineering, and warehouse
Define manning requirements every week based on schedule plan.
Measure and increase overall site direct Labor and equipment efficiency
Analyze and utilize data to leverage decisions that impact the plant from a personnel level to the bottom line of the company
Facilitate and conduct meetings internally and externally between SV team and customers/3rd parties
Actively participate in negotiations to realize cost savings projects
Enforcement of company rules, regulations and policies
Utilizes lean initiatives to identify efficiency improvements in production and secondary operations.
Lead and work with corresponding supervisors and leaders to realize projects
Provide input as needed to update planning, work instructions or system procedures.
Identify supply chain gaps and collaborate to improve beginning-to-end operations
Provide participation in interviewing, selecting, and training of new hires
Collaborate with Human Resources to realize employee engagement activities
Collaborate and assist Regional General Manager to delivery key messages and act upon necessary tasks to improve overall plant health
Engage with plant employees via Town-Hall meetings to convey important plant information
Gather and present daily metrics related to Direct Labor Efficiency, OEE, DownTime, Headcount plan fulfilment.
Use data from metrics gathered to identify bottlenecks and gaps, and formulate a plan to resolve effectively
Conducts the evaluation of direct team and makes recommendations regarding pay raises and/or promotions.
Coach, mentor, and guide direct team and support other departments
Collaborate and participate in audits (internal, customer, state, etc.
)
Actively collaborate with PMs during the NPI process from end to end.
Uses Six Sigma Lean principles and tools (5S techniques and kaizen events) to monitor and improve productivity while ensuring quality and safety requirements are maintained
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience in application of Lean manufacturing principles
Computer proficiency required
Experience with ERP Systems (IQMS preferred)
Goal oriented team player
High degree of professionalism
Effective communicator with all levels of organizations and types of customers
Action oriented with ability to act independently, analyze a situation, recommend ideas and build consensus for solutions
