Do you love math? Do you have a passion for working with kids and serving the local community? Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience or to supplement your current employment?
Olive Children Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to increase access to high quality educational opportunities, regardless of socioeconomic status.
This year, we have been selected as a host-site for Cal State’s Summer Algebra Institute (SAI), a 5 week in-person math enrichment program for rising 8th-12th grade students.
Its aim is to increase graduation rates for all CSU students and improve college readiness, while eliminating any equity gaps.
We are hiring 2 Math Instructors and 2 tutors to assist.
Curriculum will be taught through EdReady, an adaptive online application for math readiness that designs a personalized learning path to fill students’ knowledge gaps.
In addition to the curriculum, students will engage with learning activities, STEAM projects, “college knowledge” workshops, and an in-person CSU campus tour.
In addition to the teaching staff, there will be an on-site Camp Director to assist with operations.
