We provide a range of programs, including afterschool programming, school break day camps, and summer camps, to youth ages 4-18 years old.

Position Overview: Are you looking for part-time work that makes a positive impact in the lives of young people? The Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Youth Development Professionals (YDPs).
This part-time entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of youth in a fun and safe afterschool environment.
Responsibilities: As a Youth Development Professional, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of the youth in our community.
Your responsibilities will include: Supervision & Safety: Providing a safe and nurturing environment for youth participants.
Program Facilitation: Creating and leading engaging afterschool programs and activities for a group of approximately 20 students.
Lesson Planning: Developing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote personal growth, educational achievement, and character development.
Mentoring: Serving as a positive role model and mentor to young participants, fostering their self-esteem and personal development.
Maintaining a Positive Environment: Cultivating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and respected.
Team Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure program goals are met and to share best practices.
Requirements: No prior experience working with children required; a passion for working with youth is essential.
Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Candidates with education or coursework in Early Childhood Development, Education, or related fields will be given preference.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
