For the past 20 years we have partnered with over 50 City Recreations, School Districts, Private Schools and Home Schools to offer our classes in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We are currently looking for fun, inspiring and passionate Instructors or Teachers to teach our Writing classes for K to 8th grade students.
Classes are scheduled for afterschool on weekdays and all day Saturdays.
*Flexible Working Hours*:
* Monday - Fridays, 4:00 - 6:00 PM, OR
* Saturdays, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, OR
* School Break Camps: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring and Summer
*Job Description*
* Teach Writing classes for K - 8th graders (in different age groups)
* Assist students in learning to use clear and effective writing, communication and creative self-expression
* Teach from pre-planned comprehensive curriculum.
NO lesson planning needed.
* Create fun and supportive environment for students to hone their writing and academic skills, and develop confidence in writing
* Small class size, max of 12
* Very flexible schedule
* 2 - 12 hours per week during school year
* 12 - 30 hours per week during school breaks
*Qualifications:*
* BA in English, Communication Studies, Education OR related fields preferred
* Minimum one year of experience in teaching, training, coaching or tutoring in Writing
* Dynamic, articulate, patient, reliable, fun loving, professional
* Enjoy working with students of all ages
