The Quarry Lane School is looking for a *Writing and/or Public Speaking After School Activity Teacher.

The hours for this position are either: 3-4pm, and/or 4:15-5:15pm, 1-3 times a week.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:*
* Teach students to build creative writing skills & develop foundational skills in public speaking.
* Help students develop their oral skills in a fun way!
* Lead activities to help students communicate in confidence.
* Help students develop critical thinking skills
* Supervises/Monitors/ENGAGES all age students, 2nd-5th grade, during activities.
* Maintains appropriate order and student conduct.
* Treat all children with dignity and respect.
* Demonstrate patience and self-control in dealing with students and staff.
* Display energy and enthusiasm, maintaining evident interest in the job.
* Use appropriate language in and out of the classroom.
* Be appropriately dressed, well groomed, and neat.
* Enjoy engaging with students and working with children.
* Understand, implement, and give oral and written directions in English.
* · Monitors students to ensure their health, safety, and physical well-being, and performs routine First Aid and CPR, performs first aid in emergency situations according to established procedures.

*Training and experience:*
*1-2 years of experience working with children in an academic setting*
* Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.
00 - $50.
00 per hour
