First Steps Family Daycare has been in operation in the Concord/Clayton/Walnut Creek area since 2004.
I have been working with children as a preschool teacher and childcare provider for over 20 years and am familiar with the childcare regulations in the state of California’s Contra Costa County.
I have been fingerprinted and background checked, hold a current CPR and First Aid certification as well as a Health and Safety certification, am early childhood education trained, and have taken numerous infant and childcare related workshops over the years my business has been running.
I am an experienced, qualified, and professional childcare provider.
I believe young children thrive when they receive loving, responsive care from the same caregiver in a small group setting.
Please know that I take special care in making sure each child receives personal attention.
My goal is to provide top-quality service for families who hold this same philosophy.
As your childcare provider, I aim to be a helpful partner in the education and nurturing of your child as well as a guiding hand for your child.
I also offer my thoughtfully-designed preschool and kindergarten readiness program which I find to be equally as important as a caring and flexible environment in preparing your child for their school years ahead.
I have had many successful graduates of my program go on to attend both public and private schools where they excel in all subjects and continue to grow their community.
I provide a stimulating atmosphere for your child to play and explore! With a wide assortment of age-appropriate toys and equipment, children are able and encouraged to exercise their imaginations, learn motor skills, advance literacy and language skills, develop important social and emotional skills, and more.
Activities include music sessions, reading time, puzzle time, arts and crafts, and outside play.
