*Position Overview* Our *Multi-Location After School Academy Instructor *is a floating position that brings warmth, patience, and understanding every day, encouraging children to learn and grow.
While also being adaptable to working with a variety of students this position also requires a person who is capable at all three of the sites (located in Brentwood, Byron, and Oakley) dependent on staffing.
The candidate will be comfortable working in different locations as needed.
They inspire children to be lifelong learners using our nationally recognized curriculum that promotes social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development.

*Schedule: * * Monday-Friday; hours vary according to the needs of the organization * Rotating schedule in multiple sites * Occasional weekends may be required * Regular travel between multiple sites located in Brentwood, Byron, and Oakley * Work Remotely: *No* *Requirements of Employment* * Must pass Live Scan and background check.
* Must have reliable transportation for travel to and from Brentwood, CA, and Byron, CA.
* Regular travel to Brentwood, CA, and Byron, CA, is a fundamental aspect of this role.
* Mileage will be reimbursed at Village Community Resource Center's current reimbursement rate.
* The candidate must have reliable transportation for commuting between Oakley, Brentwood, and Byron.
* Proof of a valid driver's license and insurance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
*Position Responsibilities* * *Facilitate Academic Engagement:* * Develop and implement elementary-level academic activities.
* Assist students with homework and project-based learning.
* *Support Student Progress:* * Monitor and assess academic progress, collaborating with teachers.
* Implement interventions to address learning challenges.
* *Create a Positive Learning Environment:* * Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for exploration and learning.
* *Collaborate with Parents:* * Communicate regularly about academic achievements and challenges.
* Provide resources for at-home support.
*Qualifications & Experience* * CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain * Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential a plus * Completed 12 core ECE Units a plus * Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors * Ability to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children * Understand and speak English/Spanish to communicate with children and their parents * Demonstrate expertise in fostering effective communication and teamwork across geographical boundaries when collaborating with teams in different locations.
