We are looking for part-time instructors to facilitate Spanish enrichment classes for after-school programs in the East Bay.
In this role, you will guide students in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the Spanish language, as well as lessons in age-appropriate Spanish literature and culture.
Topics vary between grade levels and courses, focusing on grammar, pronunciation, composition, spelling, vocabulary, and dialogue.

*Required Qualifications:*
* Most important- Fun and engaging personality, ability to motivate elementary students and build trust
* Knowledge and experience in teaching Spanish curriculum
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of all ages
* Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
* Be able to clear background checks and TB test
* At least 1 year's experience working with elementary-aged children
* Effective classroom management skills (up to 20 students at a time)
* At least 2 years of college education
* Able to commute to school sites in the East Bay- have your transportation
* Ability to lift and carry ~20-50 lbs.
on an occasional basis with or without accommodations.
*Compensation:*
* We pay $30-$35 per hour.
Compensation will be based on your experience.
* You receive AT MINIMUM 3 hours of pay any day you teach.
This covers the time needed for teaching, setup, lesson planning and prep, fulfilling teaching requirements such as attendance tracking, communication with parents, maintaining student portfolios, and class photos, coordination with the Talentnook admin team, and communication with parents.
* Instructional time would be between 60-75 mins.
*Availability:*
* After-school hours between 1:30 PM-4:30 PM
* This part-time position will provide between 12 to 15 hours of work per week based on number of days worked.
